Background
The Sarala Birla Academy has been instituted by Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, the Chairman of The Aditya Birla Group, a US$ 24 billion corporation; and his wife, Neerja Birla. The Aditya Birla Group of schools has been functioning in 12 states across India and they operate, within the production environs of the group companies.

Curriculum
The school is affiliated to the CISCE (The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi) as well as CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) offering IGSCE and A Levels. The school is a registered examination centre for both CISCE and CIE. Students will prepare for either the ICSE or IGCSE in Grades IX and X and for either ISC or Cambridge A Levels in Grades XI and XII. IB to be introduced from 2009.

I have a fantastic photo of this school. The photo was taken while on a hike in Bannerghatta, Bangalore. I had read about this school in the newspaper… but when we were hiking suddenly in the distance emerged this bright blue and white campus… it reminded me of Disney Land. The campus is huge and located on the outskirts of Bangalore.
I would love to know more about how this school is doing.
