Background
The school was started for dependents of US employees in Bangalore. It was originally called the ‘American Community School’ and later renamed “Bangalore International School” in 1980.

Curriculum
The school has classes from Pre-primary to Grade 12. It offers the Cambridge University Diplomas (IGCSE, Grade 10)
and ICE Diploma) and The General Certificate (GCE) AS and A Level AICE Diploma (Grade 12). IB offered for Grades 11 and 12. The school also plans to offer PYP (Primary Years Programme) and MYP (Middle Years Programme). The school holds license to start ICSE.
