Internet World Stats defines penetration rate as percentage of population using the internet. At a regional level, North America has high internet penetration (76.2%) followed by Australia/Oceania and Europe. In Asia, internet penetration is 20.1%, below world average (26.6%).
US, UK, Japan, Singapore, Scandinavian countries have more than 70% penetration rate. Falkland islands have 100% internet penetration. India has low internet penetration (7%)
